Week of
the white rose
On the 25th anniversary of the tragic events of December 6, 1989, Polytechnique Montréal introduced the Week of the White Rose. This annual fundraiser, to benefit Polytechnique Montréal’s science camp, Folie Technique, is aimed at giving girls from disadvantaged communities the opportunity to take part in science awareness activities, through the sale of virtual white roses.
The first edition of the Week of the White Rose raised some $25,000 helping Folie technique reach 2,700 students. Those students were able to attend a science day camp, participate to science workshops in their classroom, etc.

In choosing to support the Week of the White Rose, you’re making a direct contribution to raising funds that will enable Folie Technique to reach more girls aged 7 to 17 from less affluent communities. Without your financial support, most of them would not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in science programs such as those offered by Folie Technique.
